The inaugural collection from Massimo Osti Studio features five pieces crafted with the patented material Alcantara®.
During the recent Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the Massimo Osti Studio team showcased their intentions with an impressive installation—a large mechanized shelf displaying the brand’s initial pieces. Considering that the late Italian designer and engineer, who passed away in 2005, revolutionized sportswear with Stone Island and later C.P. Company, the brand paying homage to him couldn’t lag behind in technological innovation. Now, after a month since its debut, the first chapter of its story has arrived: Alcantara®.
The collection takes its name from the utilized material. Alcantara® is a highly innovative material that offers an unparalleled combination of sensory, aesthetic, and functional qualities. Patented and Made in Italy, the material seamlessly suits contemporary utilitarian clothing, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to exploring new technological and design horizons.
Garments made from this material are crafted in a distinctive manner. Laser cutting is employed, significantly reducing the use of seams and replacing them with thermosensitive mesh tape placed beneath the edges. The opaque plastic-like details are achieved by leveraging the material’s thermal reaction with thermosensitive mesh tape.
Massimo Osti Studio’s Chapter 1 comprises a parka, trousers, a short jacket with a concealable hood, a cap, and a backpack. These items are exclusively available on massimoosti.com.
