Initially showcased at CLOT’s SS24 Shanghai Fashion Week presentation, the collaboration between CLOT and adidas on the Superstar, curated by Edison Chen, is now officially revealed.
This contemporary interpretation of the timeless adidas Originals silhouette takes inspiration from traditional tailoring, featuring refined details. The uppers showcase meticulous craftsmanship using premium leather, adorned with hand-stitched ridges on the iconic shelltoe. The footwear boasts a distinctive rippled outsole, an exposed EVA wedge, and an elegant leather welt.
This release marks the debut of global footwear collaboration between Edison Chen and adidas Originals, with several more launches planned for the upcoming seasons. Notably, CLOT had a longstanding partnership with Nike before, producing highly coveted sneakers like the “Kiss Of Death” Air Max 1 and various Silk Air Force 1 colorways. According to Edison Chen, the transition to the Three Stripes brand has provided him with greater creative freedom compared to his previous association with the Swoosh.
