Levi’s, the renowned American denim manufacturer, returns with a distinctive “Made in Japan” collection for the Spring-Summer 2024 season.
The collection features classic katanas such as Type II and Type III in a deep denim shade. Among the exceptional trouser styles, you’ll find models like the 501 from the ’80s, 505 Regular Fit, 502, 511, and 512. Each piece is adorned with the “Made in Japan” patch, has a label with the Japanese flag inside, and a hidden tab in indigo.
The material used in production comes from the prestigious Kaihara Denim Mill in Hiroshima, where traditional looms and unique dyeing techniques create unparalleled indigo shades.
Paul O’Neill, Levi’s design director, emphasizes that the collection is based on unconventional Japanese denim, adorned with colorful embroideries and an innovative approach to patching and repairs.
“The collection blends simplicity with high Japanese craftsmanship, offering unique elements with a modern touch,” he adds.
Levi’s “Made in Japan” collection for the Spring-Summer 2024 season is already available online and in selected brick-and-mortar stores.
