MACH & MACH’s Fall Winter 2024 collection, titled “The Girl Through Peter Lindbergh’s Lenses,” pays homage to the contrasts and unfiltered beauty of the 1990s, as captured by the iconic German fashion photographer. This collection commemorates an era where grunge intertwined with glamour on the streets, as portrayed by model Michaela Berçu through Lindbergh’s monochromatic imagery. The designs embody the provocative, refined, and daring subtleties that defined Lindbergh’s pioneering work during that period.
Central to the collection are the “Big Stone Crystal” sandals and slingbacks, featuring oversized clear and pink crystals that envelop the feet, creating a striking contrast against vibrant satin or reflective silver leather. The incorporation of a life-sized pink bow at the heel pays homage to MACH & MACH’s iconic design element, infusing the footwear with a touch of dramatic flair.
The grunge spirit of the era is echoed in the “Crystal Studs” range, encompassing sandals and slingbacks that give the brand’s signature bow a sleek, edgy transformation. Adorned with rounded studs and crystals, these pieces shine on materials ranging from satin and mirror-like silver leather to transparent PVC.
Expanding on the theme of juxtaposition, the “Galaxy” collection introduces mid-heeled satin pumps adorned with a rounded crystal brooch, symbolizing infinity, alongside feminine riding boots and penny loafers embellished with the same brooch. The “Sirene” lineup refines this aesthetic with penny and lace-up loafers in black, adorned with white or black pearls, offering a sophisticated edge. The collection’s clutch bags feature a rigid, rectangular design, shimmering with crystals and bold rhinestones, topped with a bow-shaped clasp.
