The second delivery of the Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 2024 collection presents a juxtaposition of scenes and silhouettes. Utilitarian layers and reworked poly-cotton classics contrast against the expansive, ever-changing landscapes of Sydney.

In the accompanying visuals, you’ll notice shorts, shirts, and trousers, all in shades reminiscent of solid brown and steel blue from the 1960s era. Despite their loose silhouettes, they exude a modern character. Complementing them is the embroidered Module Script jacket, inspired by the classic Harrington silhouette. The Kendricks knit polo shirt, adorned with two-tone color blocks, adds a finishing touch to the collection.

Adjacent to these, you’ll find military-inspired ensembles in an earthy palette of khaki green and sandy beige. The Madock group is showcased, featuring pants, a jacket, and an A-shaped parka made from single-layer unlined canvas. Pieces like the Unity jacket and trousers are also rooted in functionality.

The accompanying photos were captured by photographer Jesse Lizotte, who resides between Sydney and New York. Lizotte is renowned for his intimate portrait style, documenting subcultures worldwide, from the Japanese Yakuza to Los Angeles’ Lowriders.

The Spring/Summer collection is available at Carhartt WIP stores and their online shop.
