KENZO, led by creative director Nigo, joins forces once again with acclaimed Japanese visual artist VERDY for their Spring Summer 2024 ‘Colors’ collection. Drawing inspiration from primary colors and their lively yet harmonious incorporation into the KENZO universe, this collection injects a fresh energy into the season. Alongside, it unveils new color variations of the KENZO-PACE sneaker.
VERDY’s unmistakable influence permeates the collection, tapping into his love for youth culture, rebellion, and nostalgia, as well as his inspirations from skateboarding, hip-hop, and manga. This collaboration embodies the East-meets-West concept envisioned by Nigo for KENZO, making VERDY an ideal collaborator for this creative endeavor. The men’s line features timeless zip-up hoodies and sweatshirts crafted from unbrushed molleton, paired with coordinating shorts and T-shirts available in both oversized and classic fits, all adorned with the ‘KENZO PARIS’ or ‘KP’ logo designed by VERDY. For women, the offerings include vibrant T-shirts in unique cuts, a boxy cropped T-shirt, and a long T-shirt dress, all featuring the collaborative logo.
Accessories play a pivotal role in this collection, with highlights including a compact tote bag in deep-sea blue canvas and baseball caps offered in blue with a white logo or off-white with a yellow logo. The introduction of fresh color schemes for the KENZO-PACE sneaker completes the cohesive narrative of the collection, which will be available across the entire KENZO retail network starting April 12th, 2024.
