Jordan Brand’s First Collaboration with Opium Paris
Jordan Brand has partnered with the legendary Parisian boutique Opium for the first time to tell a unique story through a limited edition of the Air Ship sneakers in the “Black / Court Purple” colorway.
Inspired by Moroccan Roots
The design of these sneakers draws inspiration from the Moroccan roots of Opium's founders, Yace and Mounir. Before the boutique came to life, these young, creative members of the Moroccan diaspora channeled their courage and passion into establishing a sneaker store.
A Tribute to Opium's Beginnings
This special edition Air Ship, designed in Châtelet, pays homage to the origins of Opium. The shoe features distinctive stars and a mosaic pattern that harken back to Yace and Mounir's heritage. The mosaic design, created in a home studio, is inspired by traditional hand-crafted zellige tiles from Morocco. The premium leather construction combines an alabaster upper with overlays in black and deep purple, complemented by blue accents.
Unique Design Features
One of the standout features of this sneaker is the removable Swoosh logo, which reveals the same intricate mosaic pattern underneath. As a bonus, the shoes come with a Flight Club keychain and a matching silk scarf.
Release Date and Availability
