For Elliott Evan, his most recent body of work serves as an extension of his life experiences. The debut collection, titled “Years in Memory // Race Team,” is rooted in his memories and lived experiences. Evan recently presented the collection at an unassuming warehouse, where the eerie setting set the tone for the creative direction. Inside the warehouse, an illuminated path of vintage dirt bike racing masks guided visitors to the debut showcase of Elliott Evan’s collection.
The collection embraces the sport, infusing emotion and heartbreak into the designs. The “need for speed” mantra is disrupted by the reimagined aesthetic of 1970s racing outfits. All-leather biker jackets with a worn-like texture are paired with matching pants, featuring signature Elliott Evan slogans. The retro aesthetic evokes the era’s racing suits—tight, heavy-duty trousers and a boxy yet fitted leather jacket. Combining this with a modern perspective, the collection showcases classic shapes.
Elliott Evan has previously held diverse roles in the industry, including sample and pattern making, as well as costume design. His design background includes collaborations with figures like Greg Ross and Unsound Rags. Notably, Evan has contributed to his portfolio by creating boxing fits for Logan Paul and on-stage looks for Travis Scott.
