The new sneaker boot will debut in early March, complete with blood-inspired inserts.
The swoosh brand has revealed the first superficial glimpse of the highly anticipated Nike KD 16 “Slim Reaper.” A basketball shoe that pays tribute to Kevin Durant and his nickname ‘La Parca’ (The Reaper), attributed to his height, slimness, and lethal ability on the court.
The shoe evokes the death-inspired look through the construction and aesthetics of the silhouette, featuring new performance technology and a color combination in black, taupe, and red, reminiscent of blood splatters.
The KD 16 upper showcases a red and black camouflage pattern, while the tongue, insole, upper details, and midsole are constructed in black with overlays in mesh, leather, and suede, sealed by Nike and KD logos alongside TPU panels. The sneaker rests on an icy blue outsole with translucent red elements that complete its design.
The Nike KD 16 “Slim Reaper” will hit Nike Basketball stores and the official website on March 1, 2024.
