This stunning artwork, crafted in Sharjah’s Al Madam area, marks the debut of adidas’ regionally exclusive Adizero Desert Runner collection—an ode to the majestic landscapes of the Arabian desert and the resilience of the region’s running community.

Follow Popa’s process as he transforms the desert into a canvas, blending nature and artistry to bring to life the spirit of the Adizero Desert Runner—a shoe designed with resilience, adaptability, and the boundless energy of the desert in mind.

Watch as Popa and his team of artists work tirelessly over nine days, using eco-friendly materials to create an immersive and dynamic piece that mirrors the shoe’s bold design and advanced technology. The art piece is created with sustainability at its core, using Iron Oxide and synthetic materials that are completely safe for both humans and the environment. The canvas itself is made from synthetic shade fabric, a material commonly used by local farmers, ensuring minimal environmental waste and contributing to a sustainable artistic vision. In a commitment to eco-consciousness, all sections of the canvas were repurposed for practical uses within the local farming community, offering a second life to the materials used.
